Simplicity Funerals Golden Oldies results for 17/7/25

After weeks of little action it was a relief to be able to get out and play again.

Despite a still water-logged course, Lloyd Moyle showed it was still possible to play good golf when he won the latest round of the Worley Trophy on Thursday.

Playing off a 9 handicap for the back nine, he carded a +2 for the par competition to take the honours. He also won the hidden hole - No 15 - to add to his winnings.

Paul McCrae finished close behind on +1 to claim second and be the only other golfer in the field to better his handicap.

Neil Howard and Noel Shaw shared third on -1, while a group of three comprising Warren Carey, Peter Watson and Don Macbeth were next on -2.

There were no twos.

Next Thursday (July 24) the Golden Oldies play an Irish stableford round off the back 9.
