Simplicity Funerals Golden Oldies results for 20/11/25

Roma Elkington was in top form in winning the 11th round of the Worley Trophy on Thursday (Nov 20).

Playing off a 15 handicap for the front nine, the lefthander carded a fine net 31 to go with just 13 putts for a unbeatable total of 44 in the net plus putts format.

Michael Doyle also had a good day (34+13) in pleasant playing conditions to finish second on 47.

Paul McCrae (34+14) was third on 48, while Martin Lubransky (37+13) came home in fourth on 50, a score which was helped by a chip-in birdie three on No 8 which earned him a decent collect as it was the hidden hole.

Next was a group of four comprising Warren Carey, Richard Pearson, Chris Louth and Peter Watson on 52. Peter binned the only two of the day, on No 2, in posting the bet gross of the day, a 41.

Next Thursday (Nov 27) the Golden Oldies play the second round of the Langley Trophy, which is a par round off the back nine.
