Simplicity Funerals Golden Oldies results for 6/11/25

Neil Howard didn't require the luck of the Irish to win the Golden Oldies match of the day on a sunny spring Thursday (Nov 6).
Playing off a 13 handicap for the back nine, Neil amassed an imposing 41 points in the Irish stableford format to win handsomely.
Next best were Tom Kennedy and Warren Carey who shared second with 37 points.
The trio of Martin Lubransky, Mark Sherlaw and Roma Elkington tied for fourth on 36.
They were followed by Warren Green (35), and the threesome of Dave Huntley, Richard Pearson and Ray Hopgood on 34.
Mark, Roma and Barry Rhodes took advantage of the good scoring conditions to sink a two each.
Next Thursday (Nov 13) the Golden Oldies play a net round off the front nine, while our Old Hickory team is in action at Takaka in the penultimate round of the inter-club competition for vets.
