He's only been back for a couple of months but Keri Kotua has shown his class in winning the Stubberfield Cup in a canter.

Playing just the minimum three rounds in the four-round net plus putts summer competition, he totalled an excellent 292 (98+100+94).

The early leader Dean Goodman finished a creditable second on 298 (92+105+101).

Barry Rhodes came in third with 303 (103+96+104) followed by Brendan Doyle (104+102+99) and Peter Watson on 305 (102+102+101) with Brendan getting fourth on countback with the lowest net.

And the Summer Fedex has been decided, with Peter Green (33 points) just holding off Brendan Doyle (32) in the competition which awards weekly points for those finishing in the top seven places in the match of the day. Third was Barry Rhodes (30). He was followed by Paul Tunnicliff (27), Paul McCrae (25), Maurice Woodhouse (22) and Peter Watson (21).

Congratulation to the winners and runners-up.
